Cruising the Ventura Harbor in an electric boat is probably one of the most relaxing ways to spend an afternoon We first ordered appetizers-to-go from the Greek at the Harbor—hummas, tabouli, pita bread, calamari (with a delicious spicy sauce) and spanakopita. We then set out on an afternoon tour around the harbor in a rented electric boat Ventura Boat Rentals.
We spotted sea lions and pelicans and saw fish jump from the water. The weather was perfect and the boat was easy to maneuver. We arrived back just in time for the beginning of happy hour at Brophy Brothers (it runs from 3 p.m.to 7 p.m.). The restaurant overlooks the harbor so the view is gorgeous. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was casual and the food and drinks were very reasonably priced. Order their clam chowder. It’s the best I’ve ever tasted.
