Vasilyevsky Island
Vasilyevsky Island sits between two branches of the Neva River, with the Gulf of Finland to its west. It’s a short walk over two bridges from the mainland to the island that is home to the city’s old Stock Exchange and a number of museums. The easternmost point of the island has views of historic St. Petersburg including Palace Square and the Peter and Paul Fortress, making it a favorite of both travelers and wedding parties looking for the perfect photo opportunity.
