We were on a day tour that took us to the Masaya volcano, Lake Apoyo, and the Masaya Market. I'd just spent more than I planned at the Masaya Market, so I was bummed when we got to this ceramics school and I didn't have anymore shopping money left in my budget. All of the ceramics here are made by hand and foot (yes, by foot) by locals who've been practicing their art for generations. The shop is full of ceramic vases, masks, jars, and even earrings. Thankfully, I was able to scrounge a few cordobas for some beautiful earrings! The takeaway? Budget wisely so that you can buy ceramics from this shop!
