Anywhere we travel across Sri Lanka, we tend to stop by small rural hamlets and talk to people, sometimes share a cup of tea and always, a smile. It's a great way to get to know off-beat paths too!
This was an image we captured on the road going north from Trincomalee to Kokilai where four kids were heading out on a Bullock cart to herd their cattle grazing in the fields. It was a Saturday and this is obviously how they spend their day when not in school. They showed us some lovely little water-holes full of birds, where we sat on a log and captured images to our heart's content.
