As the name implies, Tree Top Walk is an elevated walkway at a height of 40 meters (130 feet) through the canopy of a forest of giant tingle trees, a species of eucalyptus that grows only in Western Australia. The fragile tingle trees grow up to 75 meters (about 250 feet) and the elevated walkway lets people experience and appreciate the trees without harming them. Tree Top Walk appears in writer Bill Bryson’s book In a Sunburned Country, in which he writes that it “deserves to be world-famous.”
