This Korean restaurant is hidden behind a garage. My impression was that it was some underground nightclub that had Korean food. It’s actually just a Korean restaurant that’s open late. The restaurant isn’t even behind the garage – the kitchen is! Everyone raved about the chicken wings here. They were good but not amazing. You can take your pick of the litter on Soju (apparently, this is a thing in San Francisco as I’m realizing). Did I mention its alcoholic content value averages around 24 percent? SF Gate’s review is pretty accurate from my experience.

Late-Night Korean Comfort Food in San Francisco
If you happen to be in the Outer Sunset neighborhood late at night and craving some Korean comfort food, look no further than Toyose.
This converted garage just blocks from Ocean Beach is a gem—they serve food late every evening and have an impressive list of cocktails (not to mention Korean beer, sake, and fruit beer in pitchers).
Try the fried chicken wings or any of the hearty stews.
Toyose is open daily from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
