Baseball Fan or Not, the Food is Good
Toomey’s is one of the better casual dining options in Mammoth and is conveniently located in the Village on Minaret Boulevard. Chef Matt Toomey is a baseball fan, so you can most likely catch the game at the restaurant and check out his collection of memorabilia too. Baseball fan or not, the food is good, the staff is friendly, and the service is quick. Order just about anything at the walk-up counter, but locals love the buffalo meatloaf and carne asada tacos. If you are in the mood to splurge, try one of the nightly specials or the rack of New Zealand elk. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 6085 Minaret Rd., (760) 924-4408.
