At the beginning of Quebrada de Humahuaca, you will find spectrum of colors using the mountains as their palette to show the vivid colors of orange, red, and pink. Hike is moderate. We hiked the entire loop with our backpacks (60+25 litres) because we were suppose to stop for a quick photo shoot. The trailhead is just off the main road where the bus stop is. The trail is not a park of any sort so there is no entrance fee. There is a split point on the trail where on the right is a steeper view point and the trail continues on the left. I highly recommend going to the view point buy do exercise caution when ascending and descending the hill. Continuing on the main trail you will start to see the valley which adds the green to the rouge and makes a drastic contrast to the whole landscape. The loop takes about 45 min to an hour and will take you back to the village by passing the cemetery.
