I have long adored the tradition of afternoon tea. What better way to cap off the day and ease into the evening than with a nice cup of tea and a sweet treat (or two, or three!). There is no shortage of classy afternoon tea options in the big city, all hailed as ‘one of the best in the city’ and I plan on crowning my own winner (based on a scale of 1-5 tea cups). First up here are my thoughts on Afternoon Tea at the Ritz Carlton Toronto….
Tea service is set-up in the DEQ Lounge with tables perfectly dressed with white table cloths and well appointed with everything you may need from personal sized jars of honey to individual candlelit teapot warmers.
Service begins by selecting your tea from a beautiful selection of loose leaf locally-made Sloane Tea (I opted for the Oolong Creme!), followed by two tiered towers – one savoury and one sweet – with beautiful creations all made in house. My faves: the classic cucumber dill and raspberry macaron!
I give The Ritz 4.5 teacups out of 5!
