"The Place with the Yellow Sign," a restaurant in the Temple Street Night Market
The Temple Street Night Market is an odd mix. Yes, there are parts of it that are cheesy and touristic, but the restaurants that spring up, folding chairs under blue tarps, clearly serve the whole neighborhood.
I loved this guy. He ran what I called, "The Place with the Yellow Sign," which is on the ground level of the Fu Cheong Building. That's on the northerly side of the market, between Wing Sing Ln and Hi Lung Ln. He had a great mix of sass and brio.
And I loved the food. I would normally have the "Steamed Fin Scallop with Glass Noodles and Garlic."
