I visited Sighisoara, Romania in 2011. This city is one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Founded by Transylvanian Saxons in the 12th Century, Sighisoara is the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. The popular site is famous for its citadel, the well preserved clock tower, and for its charming town center. While enjoying a stroll in the town center, I marveled at the simplistic beauty of this open window and its reflections of the old town.
