This ornate early-20th-century summer pavilion was built by a Greek banker who was forced to leave Turkey during the 1923 population exchange with Greece. The pavilion was then gifted to the first president of the Republic of Turkey, the revered Atatürk. The home now contains a museum of his belongings and photographs as well as the furniture he used for a total of five nights during his visits to Trabzon in 1924, 1930 and 1937.
