The Hanseatic Museum
When you’re strolling along Bryggen, be sure to pop into this museum to see how German merchants from the Hanseatic League lived and worked. In the period between the 14th and 18th centuries, these businessmen traded dried fish and grain from their offices and warehouses here in Bergen. Walk through the museum, which retains the building's original 1704 interior, and have a look at a reconstruction of one of the assembly halls, used for meetings, court proceedings and dining.
