This has got to be the funkiest sushi experience I ever had. It's bonkers. The entire place is decorated with papier mache-esque sharks, sea creatures, and multitudes of miscellaneous beings. It's completely eight-bit, neon, vintage, iconic '80s and before. I would have never thought amazing sushi could come out of a place like this.
The menu is full of quirky, inventive rolls and a few normal ones as well. And they are all good. All of them. I didn't try any of their drinks but there are a bunch of those, too. My favorite roll? Anything with eel. All the vegetarian rolls are phenomenal. Next to try? The jalapeño popper roll. And the rest of their japanese dishes. So. Much. Fun. Totally blows all normal concepts of a sushi restaurant out of the water, and I'd go back in an instant.
