When does a pulled-pork po'boy become a Vietnamese banh mi? What does a kick of kimchi do to shrimp and grits? You'll find the answers to these questions at the Dog & Pig Show, a culinary outlier at the intersection of Southern comfort food and Asian flavor. Not quite a restaurant (there's no seating) and more ambitious (and delicious) than a deli, it also hosts a monthly Sunday Suppers series with a changing theme and menu. You have to book tickets for the suppers well in advance, but other projects are in the works (a food truck is rumored), and the menu never fails to surprise even regular customers. Don't skip the sweets: The rosemary-buttercream whoopie pies and black sesame and brown sugar cookies are worth the indulgence. Stay tuned for what's next with this show.
