The Days of '98 Show
Playing nonstop since 1923 when it was launched to raise money for the local hockey team, The Days of '98 Show is a Skagway institution, dramatizing the tale of the town’s legendary gold-rush-era scoundrel Jefferson “Soapy” Smith. The vaudeville-style musical tells Soapy’s story as taken from the historical record, and features an entertaining mix of comedy, ragtime music and cancan dancers. The show is an hour long and runs up to four times a day during the summer season.
