A Bright Spot for Beijing Burger Culture
I love Chinese food, and I usually eat at local, traditional eateries. But I am a Nebraska boy by birth, and ocasionally, I need beef prepared a traditionally American manner. And when that need hits, I turn to the guys at the Burger Counter—Beijing's newest burger joint. They use fresh ground beef, and grill when you order, so your burgers not laying around all day for to order it. They also use fresh topping for creative burgers like the big boy (a double cheeseburger), the Atomic (a spicy burger), and the roadhouse (a burger with homemade chili), among other gourmet burgers. For drinks, they do an amazing homemade lemonade, and have a great selection of craft beers, such as Saranac, and Brooklyn Brewery. A burger will run you between 25RMB and 45RMB, and drinks run from 5RMB for a soda to 35 RMB for a Brooklyn Lager. The Burger Counter is open from 10am-10pm daily.
