Meet Us At... The Beekman
Opening in June, this long-awaited hotel in a landmark building in Lower Manhattan will house new projects from two of the country’s most famous restaurateurs. First, there’s Tom Colicchio’s Fowler & Wells—somewhat obscurely named after the Phrenology pioneers that once operated in the same building in the early 1900s—the Top Chef judge’s first new NYC restaurant in six years. Expect lightened-up versions of old-school classics like Lobster Thermidor and oysters Rockefeller. Meanwhile, Augustine adds yet another French-inflected project to Keith McNally’s portfolio, which already includes hits like Balthazar, Minetta Tavern, and Cherche Midi. This appeared in the May/June 2016 issue.
