Each summer I aim to explore more of my beautiful state, New York. The Finger Lakes region in central New York is one of the most beautiful, overlooked regions in the northeast. Taughannock Falls, in nearby Ithaca (often voted one of the best small towns to live in the U.S.) is a lovely natural wonder. The falls has an incredible drop of 215 feet (66 meters), and it is one of the highest east of the Rocky Mountains.
I hope Afar Magazine does an article on the Finger Lakes in the future.
