A tough hike in the remote Los Padres National Forest. Starting at the top above Fillmore, takes you down past Tar Creek Falls over numerous rugged boulders, requiring use of hands throughout. Have a good partner, as you will rely on each other frequently. 5 miles down dropping 1,800 feet elevation. There is a well known falls to pools about 50 feet below which is very popular with daredevils making the plunge. There are many videos of cliff jumpers on YouTube. But respect this, as many have been seriously injured or lost their lives here.
