Taman Negara

Hot, wet, sticky, crawling with bugs, elephants, tigers, bears, and ghosts (probably), Malaysia’s Taman Negara is an exciting place to get lost, so long as you’re not too worried about ever coming back. My travel companion and I spent a couple of days exploring the jungle on foot, swimming in muddy rivers, climbing trees, and stalking tigers through the underbrush. We rode on boats that had no business staying afloat, ate bugs (sometimes on purpose, sometimes by accident), and learned what jungle sweat is all about. I suggest you find out for yourself, but when you go, pack light.
