What To See and Do In Southern Thailand
Although best known for its picture-perfect beaches and as a transit point to Thailand’s string of paradise islands, there’s much more to the country’s south than pristine stretches of sand. The region is as dreamy and multi-faceted as any in Thailand, with swaying coconut palms standing guard over golden-domed mosques (Islamic influence is strong here) and ornate Buddhist temples. The area's main draw, however, is undoubtedly its jewel-like string of enchanting beaches and islands.

Yes you can surf in Thailand

The Andaman coast of Thailand is littered with beautiful beaches but few have any kind of surf. Surin beach is an exception and post Tsunami the local surfers are keen to get this news out their. I had a few memorable dawns and sunsets surfing Surin followed by some great friend chicken at one of the roadside vendors. Perfect.
