Maceió’s premier gastronomic restaurant is located on a quiet side street. The two chef/owners of Sur trained in top kitchens, including the celebrated D.O.M. in São Paulo. They find innovative ways to use local foods such as the ubiquitous coalho: Grilled, the cheese is a popular beach snack, but here it's part of a carpaccio appetizer. On weekends, the proprietors also operate a burger truck on a street corner just outside the restaurant.
