Stuart's Centennial Celebration
Stuart describes itself as the "Sailfish Capital of the World" and is a lovely city that is situated on the St. Lucie River in Martin County.The city will celebrate its centennial with a day-long festival this Saturday on May10th, 2014.

A pancake breakfast will be held at Kiwanis Park (7:30 am - $5 adults, $3 children-6-8)
A Centennial Parade will begin at 10:am on East Ocean Blvd.(High School Ave.). The city's 100- year history will be commemorated during the parade with vintage automobiles joining local dignitaries, businesses, and Joe Crankshaw will be the Grand Marshall.

After the parade, a day-long festival will include pony rides & live music by several bands. Food & drinks will be available ( including free birthday cake).

A visit to the Stuart Heritage Museum is a great way to learn about the city's history (161 Flagler Ave., or visit www.stuartheritagemuseum.com.
