Lisbon, Portugal is a city of colour and creativity. This artistic flair even extends to its abandoned buildings. The municipal government hired local street artists to cover three buildings (two pictured here), slated for demolition, in unique graffiti art.
There is a strong culture of urban, or street art in Lisbon. In addition to these buildings, by the Crono Project, you can also visit the Galeria de Arte Urbana, on Calçada da Glória; an outdoor (legal) gallery for street artists.
