The shuttle van pulls up to a small wooden cabin in the middle of a snow-laden forest, where snow hangs heavy on the boughs of pine branches. There's a faint hum of engines purring, a line of snowmobiles warming up for their afternoon excursion. You step into a thick, Abominable Snowman kind of suit, strap on your helmet and head outside to mount your new "wheels" and get a quick but thorough intro to the afternoon by your guide—and then, it's time to ride. The tour takes you through Rabbit Ears Pass located on Routt National Forest, which houses over 1 million acres of gorgeous, untouched Rocky Mountain land situated on the Continental Divide.
