The Small But Breathtaking Church in Dubrovnik
I heard about Dubrovnik some years ago as the most beautiful city in Croatia and decided I have to visit it one day. As time flew by, I discovered more and more reasons to visit this amazing city. After some time of saving money and planning for the trip - the day has finally come, I was heading to Dubrovnik. I found all information I needed on Online Croatia , a Croatian website dedicated for tourist containing all information you can possibly need for your trip to Croatia. I booked my apartment for 4 nights (and was surprised how budget friendly the prices are, and not just for the accommodation - the food, excursions, activities, souvenirs.. are also very cheap compared to other major European destinations). I had planned to get the most out of my 4 nights in this magnificent city. I visited the heritage sites and important monuments during the days and enjoyed the nightlife during the night. One of the things that leaved me breathless (besides walking the 2km long dubrovnik walls) was the small St. Saviour Church. Many tourist come to this church to pray and find inner peace. The church was built by the locals to please God and thank the savior for saving the city in its hard time. Even the noble ladies helped build this church by carrying stones and wood. This is truly one of the things you have to see at least once in your life. This was my first and definitely not the last time I visited Dubrovnik.
