St. Peter Great House & Botanical Gardens

Colonial sugar and tobacco plantations usually had a great house—the owner's residence, sometimes constructed of stone and, true to its name, a grand structure on the working farm. This former plantation house is set on 4.5 hectares (11 acres) in the verdant island interior. From the sprawling terraces 305 meters (1,000 feet) above sea level, visitors can marvel at the gorgeous gardens, Magens Bay and 20 surrounding islands.
