It is literally a park by Penn’s Landing on Spruce Street. When you walk in there is a variety of Food Trucks. They change the food trucks every year too. They are open seasonal from Memorial Day to Labor Day. I was lucky enough to try a crab pretzel from Chickies and Petes. It was very good and their crab fries looked amazing. Once you get to the dock area if you are of age you can get a wrist band since they do have a Beer Truck there which also carries margaritas, wine and other fun summer cocktails. Once you grab a drink, head to the dock where they have nets over the river. You can lounge on the nets with your drink and literally have the river rest right below you. You feel the breeze off the river and the sun on your face. I’m not going to lie, I may have fell asleep for 15 minutes with my shades on. Even with a ton of people around, it was so relaxing and calming. It wasn’t that crowded though, especially for MDW, I mean people were everywhere but it wasn’t overwhelming. I probably didn’t mind it though because everyone was friendly. People did not hog the river nets or hammocks. That’s right, they have hammocks hanging everywhere too! Along with oversized beach chairs. They have a variety of games too like life size Chess and other goodies. It is a great place to even throw a blanket down and picnic with family and friends. You can also get an amazing view of the Sunset on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge on the harbor. But enough words from me, I will let the pictures do some talking.
