I was consulting in Amman for about 3 weeks. I had not been to Jordan for more than 7 years, and it was changed, yet the same.
80% of the population lives in Amman. I visited with a small group to learn about the spices and other items, such as soaps, looftahs, and more.
At the cinammon stand (with other spices), 2 women were negotiating prices. While wishing to be polite, I could not resist taking this photo.
The spice market had wonderful Safron (also at this vendor) from Iran - which is the best in the world.
Outside of Amman, a strongly recommend Petra, truly one of the 7 wonders of the world and Wadi Rum in the south (where Lawrence of Arabia was filmed many years ago- and for film buffs, where an Indian Jones movie was filmed.
