Float the Snake River
How’s this for a day trip? Grand Teton National Park sure knows how to show off during the fall, and a float trip with solitude float trips is one of the finest ways to experience a wide swath of the park. During our Go Ahead expedition, we were treated to stunning views of the Tetons, took turns spotting bald eagles, moose and stumps we confused for bears, and wondered aloud how any trip after this would ever compare. That’s the sort of thing the Snake River does to visitors – it inspires the wildest sort of wanderlust.

Flash Parker traveled on Go Ahead’s U.S. National Parks tour as part of AFAR’s partnership with the United States Tour Operator Association (USTOA), whose members provide travelers with unparalleled access, insider knowledge, and peace-of-mind to destinations across the globe.
