Where It's Okay to Slurp
No, they do not serve turtle soup at this establishment; in fact, no turtles will be harmed in the making of your meal. Slurping Turtle is a fun, casual, won't-break-the-bank-but-still-is-gourmet place to mosey into for a fun dinner out with friends. From Chef Takashi (yes, the one from that other restaurant named...Takashi) comes a culinary selection to please all palates in your group. Start with some fresh hamachi tacos or perhaps some ribeye poke tapas, move on to ceviche and fresh green salads, then have some wine. Now re-engage and have some more food. Part of the "slurping" moniker surely comes from the gourmet noodle-bowl entrees that dot the menu. Select from a variety of meat, fish, tofu, or even vegan items and you will have no desire to be anything except "that person slurping their dinner and loving it." The menu features craft cocktails, beer, wine, and even saki to accompany the sushi you ordered upon arrival. And some free advice: be sure to follow the second half of the restaurant's name and eat s-l-o-w-l-y. Enjoy!
