We all know that meditation is good for us but actually sitting and just breathing is a lot harder than it sounds. While at Shreyas I learned more about meditation and new techniques on how to practice it.
Shreyas offers a daily mediation class that is about 30 minutes where a teacher leads you through a class teaching you to calm your mind. The hut is lit with candles and incense and surrounded by nature, creating a peaceful atmosphere to practice. The teachers are very knowledgable and will sit with you after to answer all the questions you have about why your legs fall asleep and why your mind wanders, etc. I now am able to sit and breath longer and feel more relaxed based on what I learned at Shreyas.
They also offer other classes throughout the day like pranayama (breathing), yoganidra (deep relaxation) and other meditation techniques to practice and learn more about the benefits of breathing. I took the pranayama and yoganidra classes and loved them.
