Ship's has all the hallmarks of a classic dive bar: cash only, PBR on tap, vinyl booths, and a jukebox with Neil Diamond. Opened decades ago, it's the best dive in Dallas. The owner, who must be in his 80s, has been going since he was a teen. The service is no-nonsense, and there's a pool table in the back of the narrow, dimly lit space. The drinks are cheap, the bartenders are friendly, and the stories from regulars will not disappoint.
