AFAR LOCAL AUSSIE EXPERT
This Chinatown mainstay, with red doors, pink walls, and a frenzied atmosphere, has Melbourne's best dumplings. They come steamed or fried, spicy or not, but all are served piping hot and arrive at your table minutes after ordering. For nondumpling offerings, try the turnip cakes and the Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce. It's BYO (the corkage fee is just US$1), which makes this find cheap AND delicious.
