I was prepared to love the city of Sevilla, for the food to be delicious and the historic sites to be fascinating. But I didn't realize just how beautiful the city is. It's a great walking city, not only is it easy to navigate but the narrow alleys and alternating boulevards have an old world charm that's so welcoming. At sunset the architecture shines. The pinked streaked sky highlights the vibrant yellow and orange painted buildings. For a fantastic view take the elevator up to the top of the Metropol Parasol, find a bench at the bank of the Guadalquivir River, or climb up the Giralda tower. Throw in the fresh scent of crushed bitter oranges and you've got the recipe for a full sensory sunset.
