In Sestri Levante, my method of relaxation was wholly the beaches and the food. Luckily, the town was prime for that.
Whether in the Baia delle Favole (Bay of the Fables, pictured) or the Baia del Silenzio (Bay of Silence, not pictured), the beaches and the beach-y culture provided much happiness over our four-day stay.
The Bay of Silence was particularly memorable for the clearness of the water, allowing us to swim with the fish, and between the other sealife, far out in the bay, while the Bay of Fables was directly opposite the main strip of seaside restaurants, providing a perfect view at dinnertime, and a whole new meaning to "beachside picnic."
Either way, it's hard to go wrong.
