Ceviche and Criollo Specialties
Segundo Muelle is a San Isidro ceviche institution that also has an extensive menu of cooked criollo seafood specialties. The lime- and chili-marinated seafood dish is traditionally eaten at lunch, the main meal of the day, so come between noon and 5 p.m. for incredibly tender ceviche mixto with sole, octopus, prawns, snails, scallops, and squid. For sustainability reasons, Segundo Muelle doesn’t sell the aphrodisiac conchas negras, but grilled scallops on the half shell with lemon butter, garlic, and parsley followed by a sole tiradito with tongue-tingling leche de tigre should do the trick.
