I was told of this secret cache of custom/aged rum at The Seahorse Inn on Grafton Beach in Tobago - hidden in the managers office. So it was easy to figure out where I would stay when I visited. Seahorse Inn is an inn with 4 rooms and some off property villas to stay in, but its not about the property as a place to stay, the magic happens when the sun goes down. While I fully endorse Seahorse as a place to rest your head (not fancy at all, and bare bones amenities/service), the transformation toward dinner time is magical. White table cloths, fresh rose petals on the tables, and exceptional service, set the stage for 'seriously' among the freshest most amazing food I've had anywhere in the Caribbean, and that is a BIG statement from me. Now back to the rum...the cask was empty. So I guess I'll have to wait for another bespoke cask to be made for Seahorse and I will happily return.
