Swiss Paper Museum - all about paper: history, production, printing, book binding, paper art
Within the walls of a fascinating medieval mill, in an authentic setting, the visitor will learn from hand-made paper to finished books. Set out on four floors, the museum presents living workshops where skills are shown "in action" alongside informative exhibitions.
Besides getting the opportunity to try out your hands at old fashioned ink writing with slanted nibs, you can try out a typewriter, see a printing machine, its interior and how each letter was formed (poured into shapes) with lead.
Kids and adults can try their hands at paper art e.g. Origami and paper marble painting, which is demonstrated and supported by a very spontaneous and fun teacher!
