Starting from S. Rohilla Station, we took sleeper class to Jaisalmer. Hoping to get the "real" India experience, we booked the lowest. Little did we know, the trains in lower classes have not changed much since Partition it seems. A pair of Rajasthani women helped us get through the crowds by grabbing my hand and motioning to us that we have to run. The crowds and pushing is unbelievable. Finally on the train, we find that we are in the wrong carriage, we have some good conversation with the guys around us and feel perfectly fine as they are helping us get settled, but we "must move to S3," says the director. We never slept for the whole night because it was so cold and the blanket you can see was shared between us both. Luckily Afghani's know how to make really warm wool blankets. I would do it all over again!
