Polo, Anyone?
Polo, Anyone?
With tickets that only cost $10 per person for in-season Sunday matches, my husband and I couldn’t resist the chance to witness our first ever polo match during a day trip to Carpinteria. We were able to sit wherever we wanted, so we chose a spot in the stands out of the sun as we watched powerful horses and their nimble riders gallop past us at full speed. With all of the horses on the field in such close proximity to each other, I realized just how dangerous polo is, and I have a newfound respect for the sport. While there’s a restaurant/clubhouse where you can order off the menu or take advantage of a brunch buffet, waiters come to wherever you’re sitting to take your order which I thought was a nice touch that added an element of class to an already classy event.
