This is the place you want if you’re a mixed bunch, composed of vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Few are the restaurants that work so lovingly with vegetables (they serve a kale salad in the evenings that is famous). But at brunch time, watch out: Santa Barbara cooks up a new menu of comforting, cozy morning meals every few weeks. Recent delights have included a special take on shakshuka (baked eggs in tomato and red pepper sauce with chorizo and sourdough toast) and crepes with aged cheddar, apples, maple syrup and roasted potatoes. They also have a lip-smacking selection of artfully conceived wake-up cocktails, both boozy and not.
