Food trucks are not a new phenomena and the trend has allowed chefs without restaurants to expose their food to the masses. But what about restaurants? While some have started mobile versions of their brick and mortar establishments, not everyone has the time, money or inclination to go mobile. Enter Eat Club SF. They bring the restaurant to you. Visiting various in the city on a daily basis, the truck curates offerings from 2-4 restaurants, serves them up in a mobile app allowing customers to order them the day before (or even the morning of if it is early enough). When lunch time arrives you simply head to the truck and pick up your order. And we aren't talking any old restaurants. These are prime-time, hard to get into spots - like Tartine (they have even created custom sandwiches just for Eat Club SF) and Shanghai Dumpling King. There is a good variety everyday and if you are in the Financial District in San Francisco they are there 3 times a week!
