San Francisco is a great city for many reasons, one of which is all of the green space. It's easy to feel connected to nature here. When we planned to visit the Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park, we didn't expect it to be such an oasis. It was a sunny day, and the big stretches of grass beckoned visitors to spend the afternoon lounging. Instead, we walked the botanical garden, admired the variety of plants, and let the kids run through "secret paths." A wonderful way to spend a couple of hours in San Francisco, especially on a nice day.
Admission is $7 per adult and $2 per child over 5 years of age. Street parking is available near the entrances, but it can be difficult to come by unless you get there in the morning.
