Hello from Sunday brunch along the waterfront in adorable Amelia Island!
Ninety-nine percent of the time, my go-to brunch item is Eggs Benedict, but at Fernandina Beach's Salty Pelican Bar & Grill, my old favorite had a new twist. On the seasonal weekend brunch menu, you'll find Fried Oysters Eggs Benedict - a surprisingly brilliant combination of flavors I haven't stopped thinking about since my visit over a month ago.
Of course, not everyone is an oyster fan, so there are a handful of other brunch items for that crowd - chicken and waffles, famous homemade beignets and brioche French toast with banana compote. YUM!
To drink, how about bottomless mimosas or something from the customizable Bloody Mary menu?
If the food & drink don't please you, the charming view of the passing boats coming into the harbor sure will. It doesn't get much better than this!
