If you can imagine baseball heaven—a lush green field nestled between mountaintops and perpetual sunshine—Salt River Fields just might be what it looks like. Spring training season offers a high concentration of the best American baseball teams preparing for the upcoming season.
If you're visiting after Spring Training, though, don't get discouraged. The facility hosts many events ranging from food festivals to concerts and even private parties! Check out their website for special event listings.
For me, however, baseball season is when the magic happens. Every February, a special migration arrives in Arizona as baseball fans from across the country descend on our state for Spring Training. There’s something about fans rallying together and celebrating our nation’s pastime that makes it worth every second. The great part is that you can hit a number of different games with relative ease. Relax on the lawn with your picnic lunch and igloo cooler of ice cold refreshments, and spend a perfect day in the sunshine. Tickets start at $8 for lawn seats and go up to $27 for an infield box. You can’t beat that for a great afternoon that everyone can enjoy!
