Do You Know The Way To St. Tropez?
INCROYABLE! If you are traveling anywhere between Monaco and Spain, along the French Mediterranean coast, I'd highly recommend visiting this beach town if at all possible. The scenery is just stunning, and the vibe relaxing. Plan to do the beach in the day, and nightlife at night. If you can pull yourself off the beach: walk around the marina (to see the lavish yachts) or have brunch at one of the cafes near the water. We went to the Pampelonne Beach and probably parked at one of the most southern lots. Parking was easy, and the beach wasn't crowded. The location we chose was perfect in that it was a little remote and we were still able to walk up and visit the beach bar scene...the beaches including Nikki Beach and famous Le Club 55. This is THE town that boasts the best djs in the world and perhaps the most famous nightclub in France, Les Caves du Roy "a dance institution that defies age and time" so say the jetsetter reports, but it is kinda true! Just beware at places like this, a water may cost you €25 - not kidding! It's a lot of fun and perfect for the beach life, bikini-setting attitude. We went during a coastal road trip in August, which is off-season with the French vacationing, however it was to our advantage that the town was not-so crowded. No matter what your budget is for your French Rivera trip, visiting St. Tropez should be on your bucket list. It is absolutely stunning and unlike any of the other coastal towns we visited.
