Like the Lachine Canal, the neighborhoods of Point St. Charles, Verdun, and St-Henri were shaped by Montréal’s industrial boom. The Tours de la table itinerary explores these once working-class areas that are now among the hottest culinary destinations in the city. You’ll learn the stories of the chefs in the areas’ top restaurants, and sample poutine, spruce beer, and pastries by a young chef and her team of “pink ladies.” It’s a fascinating exploration of three surprising areas and includes aspects of Montréal’s social history and the freshest ingredients prepared by rising culinary stars.
