Home Is Where the Hostel Is
Hostels are much more than a place for dirty backpackers to crash. They're a place to recharge. They are a social hive. They aren't just bunk beds and cheap beer, but can have just as much luxury as hotels.

Budget Digs Can Be Chic

Large arrow left

Located in the Elephant & Castle area on the south side of the Thames, Safestay hostel is chic and shiny new. It's also, budget-friendly!

With beds beginning at just £18, Safestay is a great option for visitors to London who are on a strict financial diet. Sure, London's museums are free but every traveler knows London itself is hardly perfect for the shoestring plan. Safestay on the other hand...

Of course, just because a place isn't expensive doesn't mean it needs to sacrifice quality. The building (an 18th Century Georgian mansion) and the decor are upmarket, yet comfortable and the work/play areas are abundant. One needn't stay with a fear that the only place to hang out is a dorm room!

Laundry and luggage storage is available. WiFi is free in the basement commons area which has a wonderful patio, bar and games tables. Continental breakfast is served from 7 to 9 AM and coffee is free all day. The hostel is a very short walk from the Elephant and Castle tube stop off the Bakerloo/Northern lines and even more convenient to several bus stops. It's also directly across from the Cuming Museum.
